previous knowledge assumed. The course covers some basic seamanship
(knots, nautical terminology and the rudiments of personal safety)
with a comprehensive introduction to chartwork, navigation and meteorology.

It is the right course for beginners to motor cruising or sailing,
and is ideal for spouses who have decided that it is not much fun
going to sea as a passenger and want to play a more active part
on deck and at the chart table.
