|
- AIM:
To teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling
to the standard required to skipper a Motor Cruiser safely
by day in waters with which you are familiar.
|
- EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED: You should already have basic helming ability
and you would have been on a Motor Cruiser for two or three
days in order to start this course.
|
- THE
COURSE: The course includes passage planning, navigation
and pilotage, night cruising, anchoring, berthing and boat
handling. Confidence in entering harbours and an emphasis
on sound judgments and decisions are part of this course.

- DURATION:
The course is usually run over four days living onboard the
boat, however non-residential courses can be arranged
should you require.

- CRUISING
AREA: The cruising area for this course is
the Medway and Thames Estuary, East and South Coasts.
|
- ALTERNATIVES:
The Helmsman and Day Skipper courses may be combined as a
single five-day course.
|
- ICC:
This course equates to the I.C.C. for Power - Coastal and
Inland (CEVNI Test Required)
|
- Cost: Includes all fuel and mooring charges incurred throughout
the duration of the course and all of the food and beverages
whilst onboard.
